Our History

  • 1993

    • JUL.

      YUEH-CHI, SCORPIO started to plan since 1992 and was founded in Taichung, Taiwan in 1993. The company started with only 3 staffs and was specialized in designing and manufacturing air tools.

    • SEP.

      The structures of the patented New Pin Clutch and other related air tools were successfully developed. YUEH-CHI, SCORPIO owns more than 60 patented products currently.

  • 1995

    • JAN.

      The patented hydraulic torque tester for impact wrench and other fasteners was successfully developed.

    • APR.

      The plant relocated in Dali Industry Park and the employees were increased to 20 people.

    • AUG.

      Guided in system reorganization project for sturdy QC and production system.

  • 1996

    • MAY.

      The new products were successfully developed and introduced to the U.S. market.

  • 1997

    • JUN.

      The factory was forced to relocate in Taipin District due to the bankrupt of the landowner. ERP system was introduced in the same year.

  • 2002

    • OCT.

      Sales dropped dramatically due to the 911 attacks. The new plant was built and the brand "SCORPIO" was extended to the international market.

  • 2003

    • MAR.

      Cooperated with one of the most well-known Japanese air tools factories with OEM/ODM cooperation to boost the development of the air tools industry.

    • SEP.

      The ISO 9001 guidelines were introduced into the company.

    • DEC.

      Awarded with the European quality certificate - CE conformity by Nemko AS of Machinery Directive 98/37 EC.

  • 2004

    • MAR.

      YUEH-CHI, SCORPIO was certified with ISO 9001-2000 certificate.

    • SEP.

      The first innovative composite impact wrench was developed and launched to the international market successfully.

  • 2008

    • MAR.

      Completed the development of full composite impact wrench series with sizes of 3/8", 1/2", 3/4" and 1" (total 8 models) with high torque and light weight functions.

  • 2009

    • MAR.

      New product - 1" composite impact wrench was approved by the Good Design Selection Committee as a good design product. The main criteria used were function, aesthetic value, and design process.

    • NOV.

      Under Industrial Development Bureau Ministry of Economic Affairs, YUEH CHI, SCORPIO completed with Conventional Industry Technology Development of high speed Composite Impact Wrench successfully.

  • 2010

    • JAN.

      YUEH-CHI, SCORPIO was certified with ISO 9001-2008 certificate.

    • MAR.

      Awarded with the European quality certificate - CE conformity by Nemko AS of Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC.

  • 2012

    • AUG.

      Awarded with the European quality certificate - CE conformity by TUV Rheinland of Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC.

  • 2014

    • MAY.

      Under Taiwan's SBIR (Small Business Innovation Research) plan, Yueh Chi successfully set up the development of innovative new technologies for light weight air impact wrench industry and specify low air consumption energy saving for green living world.

  • 2015

    • MAY.

      Under Taiwan's SBIR (Small Business Innovation Research) plan again, Yueh Chi successfully set up innovative new technologies of short fiber composite material for light weight air impact wrench industry.

    • NOV.

      The new plant and offices were built; new automatic production equipment were purchased to upgrade the production facilities; as well as to increase the production capacity.

  • 2017

    • FEB.

      YUEH-CHI, SCORPIO was certified with ISO 9001-2015 certificate.
