May. Under Taiwan's SBIR (Small Business Innovation Research) plan again, YUEH-CHI successfully pioneered innovative technologies for lightweight pneumatic impact wrenches using long fiber composite materials.

Nov. The new factory buildings and offices were built. We also acquired new automatic production equipment, to upgrade production facilities and increase production capacity.

May. Under Taiwan's SBIR (Small Business Innovation Research) plan, YUEH-CHI successfully set up the development of innovative technologies for light weight air impact wrench industry, focusing on the low energy consumption and energy-saving features for sustainable living.

Nov. Under Industrial Development Bureau Ministry of Economic Affairs, YUEH CHI, SCORPIO completed with Conventional Industry Technology Development of high speed Composite Impact Wrench successfully.

Mar. Cooperated with one of the most well-known Japanese air tools factories in an OEM/ODM partnership to advance the development and manufacturing of professional pneumatic tools.

Oct. Sales dropped dramatically after the September 11 attacks. The new plant was built and the brand "SCORPIO" was expanded to the international market.

Jun. The factory was forced to relocate in Taipin District due to the bankrupt of the landowner. ERP system was introduced in the same year.

Sept. The structures of the patented New Pin Clutch and other related air tools were successfully developed. YUEH-CHI, SCORPIO currently holds over 60 patented products.
Successfully obtained patents for the new pin clutch hammer mechanism and other related constructions. Until now, YUEH-CHI has owned more than 60 patents.

July YUEH-CHI, SCORPIO began planning since 1992 and was officially founded in Taichung, Taiwan in July 1993. The company started with only 3 staff members and specialized in designing and manufacturing air tools.
